A movie that made a strong impression on me was the remake of 'Cinderella'. It's not only one of my all time favorite childhood fairy tales but It's also just a beautiful story in general.
It made such an impact because I related to her story when she lost her mother at such a young age and the way her mother encouraged her to have courage and be kind, always, was something I took to heart and wished my mother told me. But I also just loved the relationship between her and her father because once again, I can relate to having such an amazing, loving father.
When it comes to Cinematic language in the movie, I noticed there was quite a lot of it such as low angle shots where Cinderella is walking down the stairs at the ball and everyone is staring up at her along with the prince, wondering who this beautiful girl is. It's one of my favorite scenes from the film because it really does capture the beauty of Cinderella and who she is as a character.
There were also low-key lighting's with scenes of the step-mother because she was an evil and cold-hearted character, so the angles that they used and lighting that was set on her was perfect because she's just a dark person in general, so I think it portrayed her very well.
It had pretty good special effects in my opinion especially for a Disney princess film. For example, there's a scene that actually puts me in tears every time, and it's the part where Cinderella's fairy Godmother transforms her dress and gives her till midnight to go to the ball to meet her prince. Watching the dress transform and turn into this gorgeous gown literally kills me because I am also a sucker for costumes and fashion in general, so it's just beautiful to me.
So yes, this is probably one of the most amazing films to me just because it's a beautiful film with a lovely story that will be told for ages and not only does it include stunning costumes and talented actors but it makes me see the world in a better way through all the madness this world will sometimes bring.
